BEGINNERS

Kalivaki beach located in Georgioupolis, a 25-minute drive from Rethymno town, is the sheltered bay we are visiting for your first scuba diving adventure. Rated as one of the best beaches in Crete on Tripadvisor!

It provides ideal conditions for beginner divers. This beautiful sandy beach features a rocky seabed, crystal clear waters, great visibility and pretty oceanography with plenty of marine life to admire.

The day begins with pick up from your hotel at around 8.30 a.m.

Before heading into the water, we will begin with a small briefing on fundamental scuba diving skills and safety guidelines, whilst having a cup of coffee.

After completing the theoretical part, you will get all geared up and head to the beach, where you will be able to take your first dive from the shore, always under the supervision of an instructor.

Once you start feeling comfortable with your Scuba gear on, you start the dive very relaxed and slow from the shore to a maximum depth of 6 meters.

You will spend about 45 minutes under water, enjoying the beautiful scenery and tranquility.

Juvenile groupers, octopuses, rainbow wrasses, flounder fishes, sea stars, sea basses, seahorses and other marine species can be found in Kalivaki Bay.

Discover an array of spectacular diving sites such as the stunning and unique elephant cave, Skinaria, Damnoni etc. Clear waters with visibility exceeding 30 meters, dramatic boulder formations and simply a great terrain for a peaceful dive.

Each trip leads to a hidden world strewn with fascinating sea life and stunning underwater treasures.

The dive sites are situated along the north and south coast of the island, allowing you to experience the contrasting sea life and oceanography of the Aegean and Libyan seas.

The goal is to reveal the excitement and adventures of the underwater world while also providing you with high quality dives.

On all of your dives you will be escorted by qualified DiveMasters or Instructors.
