The first of all advanced civilizations in Europe, Knossos was the prosperous Minoan capital and the resident of king Minos. It is believed that the intricate Palace with its many rooms was the mythical labyrinth.

After your almost 2 hour visit to the excavations of Knossos you will visit the archaeological museum in Heraklion, where you will find the largest collection of Minoan findings. You will also have the possibility to visit the center of Heraklion, where you can enjoy a lunch or do some shopping.
